Cisco Cable – USB to Serial Converter for Cisco console cable?
I try to connect to various Cisco routers and switches Cisco switch cable the console. My computer (Dell, dual boot Windows XP and Novell is working well on Windows, but I can not SLED10, since no Nativ has a 9 pin serial port, so I'm using through the USB serial cable 1 USB port. I did a lot of online research, and understand that I am sure it will recognize my USB cable paper. I do not know how to do that. Secondly it is not necessary to install and configure a terminal emulation program such as Minicom to configure port cable.
People working with Cisco networking equipment really needs to be able to connect to the console ports are on the device. On Windows, you can just run Hyper Terminal for basic access to your device. If you use Linux, then you need to know how to made an application called Minicom.
