How many transactions / instructions is a 2.2 GHz CPU does per second?
I heard 2.2 GHz = 2.2 million transactions / Second place, is this true? I need that since I use in my presentation. What is a cycle, then?
Incorrect. This means that 2.2 billion cycles per second. An operation can take more than one cycle, depending on the processor architecture. What This is a big part of why GHz does not mean much by itself same when determining processor performance.
